July 20 in mun. Comrat signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Executive Committee of ATU Gagauzia and the Comrat State University(CSU).

The Memorandum was signed by the authorized representative of the Executive Committee of ATU Gagauzia Natalia Cojocar, Director of the Agency for Attracting Investments and Export Promotion of ATU Gagauzia and Rector of the Comrat State University, Doctor\, Sergei Zaharia.

The purpose of this agreement is the implementation of the first project in the field of innovative technologies “It Digital Hub” in Gagauzia and the development of a center of excellence in the field of information and communication technologies in the region.

 “Today we are aware of the importance of applying innovative approaches to 'best practices' in education, management, culture and business. It Digital Hub will help increase the attractiveness of ICT in a regional context, creating high quality, well-paid jobs and discouraging the emigration of talented youth,” said Natalia Cojocar.

 “The implementation of the “It Digital Hub” project will allow CSU to continue to remain the flagship of education in the region and create new opportunities for both students and future applicants, and for the teaching staff. This project will contribute to the accommodation of university graduates in the labor market and increase their competence,” summed up the rector of the university Sergei Zaharia.

As part of the memorandum, the parties intend to contribute to the implementation of the It Digital Hub project, with the aim of capitalizing and strengthening the potential of the digital economy and increasing the competitiveness of the region, business and its investment environment. An urgent challenge is to ensure the quality and use of best practices for ICT education.

By joint efforts and contributions of both parties and the involved stakeholders, it is planned to create a physical center "It Digital Hub" on the basis of the II building of CSU in mun. Comrat as a strategic point and platform to stimulate digital creativity, technological innovation and growth in the ICT sector for ATU Gagauzia.
